About Embrace Ur Journey Coaching
You don’t need to have everything figured out before you take the next step. Sometimes you just need someone to listen, help you sort through what feels overwhelming, and encourage you while you figure out what comes next.
Different experiences brought us here, but families have always been at the center.
We’re Joyce and Christine.
We first connected through our kids and our local community. Our backgrounds are very different, but over time we realized we had spent years having many of the same kinds of conversations with people.
Conversations with parents who don’t know where to start.
Conversations with people who are overwhelmed, trying to make a decision, going through a transition, or simply trying to figure out what their next step should be.
Christine has spent years professionally supporting children and families, including more than a decade working in respite services.
Joyce brings years of lived experience as a mom of children with special needs, an advocate, entrepreneur, and someone families in her community are often connected with when they need help figuring out where to turn.
Eventually, it became clear that those different experiences could come together in a meaningful way.
And that is where Embrace Ur Journey Coaching began.
Hi, I’m Joyce.
I’m a wife, mom, entrepreneur, special-needs mom, advocate, and someone who has spent years helping other women figure out what can actually work in real life. A lot of what I bring to coaching comes from living through the same kinds of complicated seasons, decisions and responsibilities that many of the women I talk with are trying to navigate themselves.
Long before Embrace Ur Journey Coaching, I created My Stay At Home Adventures, where I have spent years helping thousands of moms think differently about budgeting, saving money, groceries, earning income and managing everyday life. One of the biggest things that work taught me is that there is rarely one perfect system that works for everyone. A budget, app, routine or strategy still has to make sense for the person using it and the life they are actually living.
I also co-hosted Mom Autism Money, a project focused on the financial realities families can face while raising autistic children. That gave me another opportunity to have conversations about money, caregiving, services, planning, advocacy and the very different realities families can experience even when their children share the same diagnosis.
My own family has also taught me how complicated life can become when you’re raising children who need additional support. There are schools, providers, appointments, paperwork, insurance, programs, phone calls, waiting lists and systems that families are often expected to understand while they are already trying to take care of everything else.
I had to learn how to navigate many of those systems for my own children. I learned how to ask questions, look for resources, speak up when something didn’t feel right and keep advocating when the process became frustrating. Somewhere along the way, it stopped being only about my own family.
Other moms started reaching out. Schools and people in our local community have connected families with me when they don’t know where to begin. Sometimes someone will literally hand another mom the phone and say, “Talk to Joyce.” They may need a resource, help figuring out what questions to ask, or simply someone who understands how exhausting it can be when you’re being sent from one place to another trying to find an answer.
I don’t pretend to know everything, and I’m not here to tell another person what they should do with their child, their finances, their family or their life. What I can do is listen, share what I’ve learned, help someone think through their options, point them toward resources when I can and help them sort through what may realistically make sense for their situation.
That same approach is a big part of how I coach. Years of working with moms have taught me that people usually don’t need another person handing them a formula and expecting them to make their life fit inside it. They need support that takes into account their priorities, responsibilities, goals, family and the season of life they are actually in.
I’m practical, and I care much more about what can work in real life than what sounds good on paper. Sometimes progress means making a big change, and sometimes it means getting clear about one thing and figuring out the next realistic step. Both can matter.
Supporting children and families has been part of Christine’s work for years.
Christine has spent much of her professional life working with children, adults and families.
Before becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor, she spent more than a decade working in respite services and supporting families in their everyday lives.
That experience gave her the opportunity to see something that matters greatly to the work we do now:
Families don’t live their lives in an office.
Real life happens at home, at school, in the community, during transitions, during difficult seasons, and in all the complicated moments in between.
Today, Christine is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania. Her professional experience includes working with children, teens, adults and families, including people navigating ADHD, anxiety, autism, stress, life transitions, behavioral concerns and other challenges.
Christine’s approach is down-to-earth and collaborative.
She believes support should make sense in someone’s actual life, not simply sound good on paper.
At Embrace Ur Journey Coaching, Christine brings that experience into a separate role as a coach.
She listens, asks thoughtful questions, helps people look at situations from another perspective, and encourages them as they figure out what matters most and what they want to work toward.
She isn’t here to decide what your life should look like.
She’s here to listen, help you get clear about what you want, and support you while you decide what your next step might be.
Christine’s work through Embrace Ur Journey Coaching is separate from her counseling practice. Coaching through Embrace Ur Journey Coaching does not include therapy, diagnosis, or mental-health treatment.

Different experiences. A lot of the same conversations.
Christine has spent years professionally supporting children and families.
Joyce has spent years living it as a mom of children with special needs, advocating for her own children and helping other families in her community figure out where to turn when the system feels confusing or overwhelming.
Our experiences aren’t the same, and that’s actually one of the things we value about working together.
We can look at a situation from different perspectives.
What we share is the belief that people deserve to feel heard.
We also don’t believe people need someone else making every decision for them.
Sometimes what you really need is someone who will listen to what is actually happening, help you sort through all the pieces, ask the questions you may not have considered, and encourage you while you figure out a way forward that feels right for you.
That’s the kind of coaching we want Embrace Ur Journey to be.
Your life is yours.
Your goals are yours.
And the path you choose is yours too.
We’re here to support you while you figure out what that next step looks like.
Coaching should fit your life, not somebody else’s.
There isn’t one perfect way to move forward.
We want coaching to feel human, supportive and useful in real life.
We listen first.
Before we start talking about goals or making a plan, we want to understand what’s actually happening in your life and what matters to you.
We keep it realistic.
A plan isn’t helpful if it only works when life is perfect. We focus on steps that can actually fit into your responsibilities, priorities and everyday life.
Your journey is yours.
We’re here to listen, support and encourage you. We’re not here to decide what your life should look like.
Support from wherever you are.
Embrace Ur Journey Coaching is virtual.
You don’t need to drive to an office or add another trip to an already busy day.
You can meet with us from a private space where you’re comfortable, talk through what you’re working on, and leave with a clearer idea of what you want to do next.
Some goals may be big.
Some may be small.
Some may even change along the way.
That’s okay.
Real life rarely follows a perfectly straight road.
You don’t have to have everything figured out before you begin.
Sometimes you just need a place to start.
We’re here to listen, help you sort through what’s in front of you, and encourage you while you figure out what comes next.
